About Matt
Matt Kepnes is the founder of the global travel brand, Nomadic Matt. A Boston native, Matt quit his job in 2005 to travel the world and hasn't looked back. Since starting his blog in 2008, he’s helped tens of millions of people travel more for less with time-tested and proven travel-hacking tips and advice.
Since then, he’s traveled to 100+ countries, slept in 1000+ hostels, tried strange foods (fried maggots!), made lifelong friends, learned multiple languages, and, most importantly, discovered his mission to help other people experience the world. Matt is the author of the New York Times best-selling book, How to Travel the World on $50 a Day, as well as his memoir, Ten Years a Nomad.
